Victory Leisure Homes is pleased to announce we have increased our manufacturing capacity by 50 per cent with the opening of a second production line.
The installation, which went live this month at our Gilberdyke factory, is dedicated to the construction of Leisure lodges due to the growing demand in our domestic and overseas markets.
The move means Victory Leisure Homes can give over our primary production line to the manufacture of holiday homes, enabling us to ramp up construction.
As a result we are recruiting a further ten factory workers to enable us to meet the increasing demand.
Managing director Peter Nevitt said with the company's order book now almost full, the second production line is essential in providing extra production capacity for future orders.
Current orders resulting from the summer show season must be completed and on the parks early next year for the start of the caravanning season, meaning without the new facility, we would be unable to take any further orders this year.
Nevitt said: "For the first time we are seeing some decent growth in the caravan industry since the great crash in late 2000s, which has led to an upturn in demand for our products across the board, particularly for lodges.
"As testament to that, we recently attended three of the biggest trade shows, at Cottingham near Hull, Beaulieu in Hampshire and the Exeter show and we nearly doubled our target, which was the best performance in our five-year history."
