Leading East Yorkshire caravan manufacturer, Victory Holiday Homes, has announced a record-breaking return from one of the industry’s top shows.

The company, based at Gilberdyke, came away from the four-day Scottish Caravan, Motorhome and Holiday Home Show at Glasgow with retail sales totalling £650,000 and many more trade sales in the pipeline between now and Easter.

Managing director Peter Nevitt said the reception given to the company’s models had been nothing short of tremendous. He added: “Everyone in the industry was hopeful that the atmosphere and sales at the exhibition would kick start 2013 but the success of the Victory range was even greater than we had hoped for.

“The response from the park operators in the form of actual orders gave everyone at Victory a real boost but it was just as important to hear the many positive comments from the public. They left us in no doubt that the caravan holiday remains the first choice for many people”.

The Show was held at the SECC and attracted more than 150 companies showcasing the latest holiday homes, caravans, motorhomes and accessories.

Victory also chose the event to unveil their latest model – the Gainford. This holiday home will be manufactured at Gilberdyke in three sizes and has been designed to give the purchaser even more choice in terms of luxury level.

As Mr Nevitt said: “We are constantly looking to design new models that offer the very best in holiday home accommodation and judging from the initial response to the Gainford we have once again raised the bar in terms of luxury accommodation in this market”.

Victory Leisure Homes manufactures a large range of holiday homes and lodges for domestic and overseas markets. Last year, the company opened a major new showground, the Crofthead Holiday Park at Ayr, to further build its profile north of the border.

Mr Nevitt said: “Scotland is an important market for caravan manufacturers and demand for Victory’s models has risen steadily in recent months. This latest success at the SECC confirms our position at one of the leading suppliers in Scotland”.
