Scotland

Nestled amidst the awe-inspiring landscapes of Scotland's Argyll and Bute region, Argyll Caravan Park is a hidden gem. With its idyllic location and captivating natural beauty, this park offers a truly enchanting escape for those in search of a tranquil retreat.

Situated on the scenic west coast of Scotland, Argyll Caravan Park is a haven for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts alike. Surrounded by mountains, lochs, lush forests, the park serves as a gateway to explore the breath-taking scenery that this region is famous for.

We sat down with the team to find out more about their lovely park…

Tell us about your park

Located south of Inveraray, Scotland, our 50-acre park is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year and holds the distinction of being one of Scotland's longest-standing licensed parks. With its prime location, our park offers spectacular views of the picturesque Loch Fyne.

With 220 private holiday home pitches, 35 touring/motorhome pitches, and 11 seasonal touring pitches to choose from, you can staycation in your own way. We take pride in providing a range of facilities to enhance your stay including children's play parks, a spacious indoor play area with a snooker table, a badminton court, and an onsite laundrette.

Indulge in a delightful dining experience at our onsite bistro, which features a covered beer garden which allows you to enjoy the outdoors regardless of the weather.

Our park also has a rich history and once served as a covert D-Day training camp for the Combined Operations during World War Two. On Remembrance Day, we honour this heritage with a brief ceremony in our memorial area, which is lovingly maintained by the local British Legion Scotland.

It's worth also mentioning that our park has been a cherished holiday home destination for four generations of families, and we are proud to have an owner who has resided here for an impressive 60 years!

What entertainment, amenities and facilities are on your park that make yours stand out from the rest?

Our Scotland location offers stunning views and plenty of hiking trails, perfect for outdoor enthusiasts. We have an onsite slipway for launching boats and jet skis, while swimmers can enjoy the water sports in our serene surroundings.

During your stay, you may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of our resident family of seals, along with a wide range of birds, deer, red squirrels, otters, and porpoises. As a dog-friendly park, your furry friend can also enjoy our surroundings and roam freely across various areas of the park.

What made you choose Victory homes for your park?

We’ve enjoyed a longstanding partnership with Victory since their inception, and our rental caravans have exclusively been Victory models for quite some time. We even have a special area of our park called "Victory Square” where we showcase some of our favourite homes.

Victory has proven to the perfect partner, consistently providing an excellent service to smaller parks like ours. Their commitment to us has remained unwavering throughout the years and we are delighted to showcase Victory lodges and holiday homes on some of our remarkable shorefront pitches.

Finally, what things can people do in the surrounding area?

Situated in the quaint town of Inveraray, you'll find the magnificent Inveraray Castle and Gardens – as guests of our park, you can enjoy discounted entry and spend the day exploring the grounds.

In addition to the castle, there are other attractions in the area that are worth exploring. Immerse yourself in the wonders of the Cruachan Power Station, where you can witness the impressive engineering behind hydroelectric power. Crarae Gardens and Ardkinlass Gardens offer a quiet escape, with beautiful botanical displays to wander around.

For history buffs, the Kilmartin Standing Stones provide a glimpse into Scotland's rich heritage. Inveraray Jail offers a fascinating insight into the region's past, allowing visitors to experience a historic prison first-hand. The Inveraray Bell Tower stands tall, offering panoramic views of the picturesque surroundings.

Thrill-seekers and adventure enthusiasts can indulge in exhilarating experiences at Argyll Adventure, while Auchindrain Township provides a unique opportunity to step back in time and explore a preserved Highland farming settlement.

With all these attractions near to our park, you'll have a huge number of options to immerse yourself in the history, culture, and natural beauty of the Inveraray region. There really is something for all the family!
